Janet Visser, a prize-winning American Painter, simplifies any subject

matter by reducing it to a fundamental and poetic form of line and color. 

There are no blatant messages in her art, but rather, a journey of visual excitement. She creates using acrylics and mixed media in a rhythmic series of freedom and thought. 

Janet's finished abstract compositions are composed of up to ten layers of paint.

Rick established his ceramic studio on Lake Norman in 2015 following an accomplished 45-year career as a classroom teacher of advanced mathematics in North Carolina, Ohio, and Tennessee. 

He began his study of ceramics in 2006 at the Floyd Center for the Arts in Virginia taking summer classes. He has continued his training at John C Campbell Folk School and now studies year-round at Clayworks Studio & Gallery in Charlotte, NC.

Rick enjoys creating unique, functional pieces that are also decorative. His work features a variety of wheel thrown stoneware in a wide selection of natural clay and glaze colors. He enjoys developing different designs, and his artistic work includes hand-painted and carved pieces whose variations make each piece an individual work of art.
