I am a mosaic artist, recently relocated to Mooresville, North Carolina from Chagrin Falls, Ohio. I have a husband and 3 adult sons who have supported me and my art every step of the way. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a concentration in textile design from Miami University, and began my career in the design studio of Imperial Wallcoverings, Beachwood, Ohio, before launching my own design studio.
After 10 years managing my textile design business, I started playing around with mosaic. I became addicted! I find the process of creating images out of many little pieces soothing and satisfying. I am especially drawn to pattern and flow, as found in ancient Greek and Roman mosaics. I am captivated by the richness and beauty of the materials I use: stained glass, vitreous glass tile, glazed ceramic, stone. I tend to use color boldly in my work.
Gardens and nature inspire me. I am also inspired by travel. My work is influenced by the ancient mosaics I have seen, as well as the breathtaking scenery I have stumbled upon around the world. Recently, I have been exploring mandalas and labyrinths in mosaic, borrowing from the hedge mazes and labyrinths I have visited, as well as my interest in meditation. My pieces range from framed art to architectural installations to functional pieces such as garden benches and tables. My goal is to bring serenity, beauty, and joy to viewers of my art.

Current and recent features of Elijah's work include the Bill and Patty Gorelick Galleries, the GreenHill Center for North Carolina Art, and the McColl Center for Art + Innovation. In 2020 he showcased his first Solo Exhibition, La Sala dei Fiori, at Artisan’s Palate Gallery in NoDa, and this year he has launched his first retail locations in Charlotte and Waxhaw.
Elijah's glassworks are also featured at two premier hotels in uptown Charlotte, Novant Medical Center in Matthews, and the Town Hall in Davidson. Along with numerous corporate and private commissions, his art has been selected for local, regional and national juried events and exhibitions during which he has received many awards.
A current high school sophomore, Elijah is an artist-entrepreneur at heart with future plans of also owning his own art gallery.
