365Nights: A Yearlong Immersion Into Night Photography
Friday - Sept 16 - 6:30 - 7:30
In 2021, Kevin Adams created a different photo every night. The resulting images cover a plethora of subject matter: Closeups of household items, mobsters carrying chainsaws, Jack-O-Lanterns on fire, waterfalls, the Milky Way, and photographic creations that words just can’t describe. Without question, this was the most challenging and rewarding project in Kevin’s 40 years as a photographer. In his talk, he’ll tell you the good and the bad, and explain why taking on a project like this will be the best thing you can do, not only for your photography, but also for your well-being.
Many people in our area have heard Kevin speak before, but not many have had the opportunity to attend a workshop with Kevin and walk with him to make photographs and learn light painting. You will spend 45 minutes to an hour with Kevin in our gallery learning about night photography and light painting.

What could be better than shooting with Kevin than having him look at your work from the night before and get personal feedback. Bring your images on an SD card or on a USB flash drive. This will be a special opportunity to get to know one of North Carolina’s best loved and innovative photographers.
