Macro & Close-Up Photography Workshop

Dates: October 28 and 29

Times: Saturday – 9am – 4pm and Sunday – 9am – Noon 

Level: Intermediate or Advanced

Cost: Members $225 Nonmembers $245

Instructor:  Jamie Konarski Davidson

Class Size: Min 8, Max  12 students

Supplies: A list will be provided by the instructor prior to the first day of class.

This day and a half workshop will explore macro & close-up photography. It will include:

• a classroom session on gear, 
• shooting & lighting techniques,
• composition, 
• a hands-on shooting session using flowers, 
• smaller subjects/set-ups, and 
• some post-processing tips/techniques. 

Workshop will end with an image review/feedback session.

Jamie Konarski Davidson is an award-winning freelance outdoor & nature photographer and Lensbaby Ambassador with a passion for capturing and sharing the intimate moments and beauty of the natural world on its own and as it blends with the “rest of the world.” Her images range from macro and abstracts to intimate, grand and rural landscapes in color, black/white and infrared. She connects with all things “old” and finds a special beauty in decay and fading cultural lifestyles that resonate a life of hard work.

Jamie often focuses on the intimate details that can only be seen when the hurried pace of life is slowed. Her artistic style leans heavily in the interpretive and creative rather than documentary. • Registrants will receive 100% refund for classes or workshops that are cancelled by Mooresville Arts. Refunds will be processed to the original credit card used during registrations.
• Registrants who cancel for any reason after registering and prior to 72 hours of the beginning of a class or workshop will receive a refund to the original credit card used during registration minus a 20% administrative fee.
• Cancellations 72 hours before a class or workshop begins will not receive a refund; registration fees will be considered as a donation to Mooresville Arts.
