Pleinly Seen  

Presented by the Wayside Painters of North Carolina  

We are the Wayside artists, a group of painters from the Charlotte/Statesville area which includes Mooresville, Troutman, Matthews, Huntersville, Davidson and Cornelius. We meet weekly to paint outdoors, en plein air, and will present an exhibit of that work Tuesday, August 2 to Thursday, September 22, 2022, in the Skylight Gallery at Mooresville Arts.   

Entitled Pleinly Seen, these pieces reveal the love and passion we have for the beauty and history of the area. While seeking not only to hone our skills through painting on site, we also desire to share our enthusiasm through our work and see ourselves as unique voices in the campaign to preserve and promote popular local parks and historical areas. These are the lovely but overlooked places we pass every day without a second glance.  

Wayside Painters include Sherry Mason, Anne Gallagher, Ray Richardson, Kathy Murray, Charles “Bo” Jones, Robert Cline, Nancy Rosel Brown, Beth Taft, and Leslie Davis.
