At Mooresville Arts we have many volunteers who help us achieve our mission and goals. Our volunteers serve on committees, as board members and officers, docents, and special projects. We hope you join us and become a part of a thriving organization, apply your skills, and learn some new ones at Mooresville Arts. Training is provided for each position.
The Treasurer is responsible for collecting all funds due to Mooresville Arts, disbursing and managing all Mooresville Arts Funds, and keeping all financial records pertaining to Mooresville Arts. He/she presents a financial statement at each regular Board meeting and as requested by the President. He/she prepares an annual financial report and makes records available for audit when required. The Treasurer acts as Chairperson for the Finance Committee.
The Board Secretary is responsible for maintaining records of all Board and Special meetings and reports these records when requested by the Presiding Officer. The Secretary handles Mooresville Arts correspondence as required and is responsible for the maintenance to and adherence of the Constitution and Bylaws.
A docent is the first person our guests interact with when they visit our gallery. Docents excel at socializing, offering information about our programs, collecting information about our visitors, and providing sales support for the Gallery Shop.
Do you have a passion for providing art education to our community? The education committee is a dynamic group of individuals with an interest in lifelong learning, planning, and providing outreach. Each member is focused on an area (such as painting, photography, youth/teens). We are very interested in adding one or more members who have a passion for drawing.
Complete the application and our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you as soon as possible. Thank you for your consideration!
