4 Galleries - 1 Special Night!
On June 8th, 22 photographers from Mooresville Arts were treated to a fascinating tour of the Annie Leibovitz exhibition at the Uptown Mint Museum in Charlotte. We were the guests of the chief curator and curator of contemporary art, Dr. Jen Sudul Edwards.
Anyone going to see this exhibition will have a great experience. But our experience was greatly enhanced by Jen’s depth and breadth of knowledge about Leibovitz and her great storytelling skills. I have been to exhibitions by many great photographers since my days in college, but none quite like the experience we had.
This was truly a great event for Charlotte and the Mint Museum to host a photographer of this caliber. I think Jennifer’s continued presence at the Mint will result in many more great photography exhibitions. I also see a growing partnership with Jen that will enhance the future of both the Mint Museum and Mooresville Arts.
Thank you to all those who attended this event and a special thanks to Cindy Sapp for arranging this event for the members of Mooresville Arts. And Jen, we can’t thank you enough for hosting this special day for us.
