SPEAKER: Wendy Hickey is the Founder of ArtPop Street Gallery. You may know ArtPop from seeing local artists' artwork on billboards throughout the region and nation for the past 11 years!
On May 1, 2018, Wendy became a full-time Executive Director of the nonprofit. She is now living out her heart's dream of showcasing local artists through billboard advertising and more, equipping local artists to achieve sustainable success while making art accessible to ALL in the Charlotte Region and beyond. Wendy believes EVERYONE deserves access to art, and local artists need to be seen as valued and paid small business owners.
October celebrates four years of ArtPop’s newest division, Inspiration Projects. Inspiration Projects connects local artists and corporations to work together on public and private art projects. To date, 60 completed projects have made over $625k in commissions possible for local artists!
