Saturday Morning Salon
Saturday, May 14, June 11 and July 9
9:30 am to 12:00 pm
If you have taken photography classes with us at Mooresville Arts, we’re guessing you miss those Image Review sessions. Well we do too. So we are offering FREE Saturday morning Image Review sessions every month with one of our instructors.
This is not a critique and not a portfolio review. This is an opportunity for you to learn from other students and members as we talk about each other’s recent images. If you have been to our classes you know how fun and valuable this can be.
The sessions will be lead by different Mooresville Arts faculty members. As always, we encourage everyone to ask questions and voice their opinions. Bring your work, processed or not, on a flash drive (JPEG) or better yet, bring prints. Prints are always best. We will look at and discuss six to ten images from each participant.
Weekly on Wednesday Afternoons (August - May)
Time: 1:00 - 4:00 PM
Open Studio is held in the Mooresville Arts classroom. Bring your current art project and join fellow artists as you share your work, experiences, and help each other with new ideas. This free event is open to anyone who is a Mooresville Arts member or is interested in joining.
Time: 9:30 AM
Adults, all skill levels are welcome
No instructor, no cost.
The Wayside Painters of Lake Norman paint weekly on Mondays, weather permitting. The group consists of several artists in the Mooresville, Troutman, Statesville, Sherrill’s Ford, Terrell, and Denver areas. We are loosely organized and have no officers, dues, committees, or by-laws – we simply focus on plein air painting. Currently about fifteen artists meet but we welcome all interested.
Locations around the northern part of Lake Norman are posted weekly and abilities range from beginners to experienced, with all media welcome. Individual members take turns suggesting sites, securing permission from landowners and providing directions.
Experience the excitement of painting in wonderful North Carolina. Paint landscapes, cityscapes, gardens, people, rusty vehicles, and so much more. Escape your studio. Express your creativity painting outdoors with like-minded artists.
Contact Leslie Davis if you are interested in more information: firstname.lastname@example.org label your subject “Waysides.”
