Submissions are now open for the “Celebrating Film in Visual Art” exhibition and competition, a creative collaboration between the Full Bloom Film Festival, Speedball Art, and the Iredell Arts Council.

This juried exhibition invites artists to interpret the world of film through visual art in celebration of 10 years of the Full Bloom Film Festival. Drawing inspiration from characters, scenes, genres, or the emotional power of storytelling on screen. We're reaching out to ask for your support in spreading the word to artists in your community.

Key Details:

• Free to enter
  
• Open to artists age 16 and up
  
• Accepting up to 3 submissions per artist
  
• Deadline to submit: August 8, 2025
  
• Accepted mediums: 2D work in painting, drawing, printmaking, illustration, or mixed media (no larger than 36" x 36")
  
• Best in Show: $500 prize
  
• Three Awards of Distinction: $100 Speedball product credit each
  
• Exhibition dates: August 20 – September 14, 2025 at the Iredell Arts Council during the Full Bloom Film Festival
