Be Seated

Be Seated is a special exhibit of 10 artist-created chairs, complementary to the concurrently running Kaleidoscope juried exhibit in our Center Gallery. This exhibit will showcase functional visual art pieces that will provide seating in the gallery throughout the length of the show. Artists may interpret this theme however they wish to present a finished piece of art which both represents the artist's vision and serves as a functional piece of furniture.

Submit for Consideration By: Monday, November 2 at 5pm

$15 MA Members & $20 Non-members (limit of 1 piece)

Artists Notified By: Monday, November 9th, 2026

Intake Dates: Friday, November 13, 2026 (12-3pm)

Saturday, November 14, 2026 (10am-1pm)

“A First Look” Ticketed Reception for Holiday Exhibits:

Friday, November 20th, from 6-8pm (Tickets on sale in late September 2026)

This exhibit is a limited opportunity and only 10 pieces will be selected for display. This exhibit is a curated opportunity, and artists will be selected based on the quality and diversity of the artwork submitted.

Submissions will be reviewed, and artists will be notified of acceptance/non-acceptance into the show by Monday, November 9, 2026
