Come and enjoy a week’s worth of developmental drawing and painting skills. Learn how to observe, sketch and create realistic drawings using pencil, pen and ink, charcoal, and other drawing tools. Discover the joy of painting realistic and abstract works of art with watercolors, acrylics and other exciting mediums. Subjects for the projects will be diverse, appealing and FUN to this age group, such as animals, insects, portraits, flowers and abstract.
The first half of each day will involve drawing skills, such as contour drawing, value drawing (shading) and gesture drawing. The second half will include painting with watercolors, ink wash and acrylic paint.

Title: Paper Mache: Design, Sculpt & Paint!

Learn how to create your own lanterns and bouquets out of paper mache! In this course, students will learn to shape items out of wire, paper mache, create 3D designs and paint their final projects. We will start on a smaller scale with creating flowers to get a general idea of how to create 3D objects. Students will then be tasked with the challenge of creating their own lanterns by beginning with the design process of brainstorming and drawing their unique lanterns, sculpting from wire, adding paper mache and painting the final piece. By the end of the course they will have mastered and completed 2 3D paper mache projects!

Join Mr. Justin this summer to learn about ANIMATION! This camp is an amazing opportunity for inspiring artists to learn how to bring their creative ideas to life through different concept art techniques. Includes character design, developing environments, storyboarding, and much more! Explore the process of how movies and video games are made within drawing/illustrating the thoughts and ideas before it is put into the computer. At the end of the week, students will have a portfolio of work to share with family and friends!

Students will be challenged with the creative task of designing and making their own tic-tac-toe game boards, monster themed pots and their own unique creation! Through this course they will learn how to use air dry clay and its properties, paint and seal work. Near the end of our class, students will have the opportunity to create a small piece that they will design themselves by using the knowledge they have learned throughout the course!
Students can expect:
~An introduction to building and creating with air dry clay
~Sketch ideas, and sculpt the playing board and game pieces for tic-tac-toe
~Observe a demo, brainstorm & sketch, and sculpt a monster themed pot
~Create their own clay piece
~Seal, paint and reseal all pieces

Title: Classical Drawing: Mastering the Fundamentals

Instructor: Ah ra Cho
Join instructor Ah ra Cho as she takes you on a journey to explore the fundamental techniques of still life and figure drawing, focusing on key elements like scale, perspective, and composition. Students will learn how to break down complex objects into simple geometric shapes, making the drawing process easier and more accessible. Through practice in color and monochrome perception, students will sharpen their attention to detail and develop a deep appreciation for the fundamentals of classical art.

Join Mr. Justin in learning how to build upon your love of drawing and explore your imagination even more! Each day will consist of learning 2 different drawing techniques and styles. Practice numerous techniques on how to develop artwork for MOVIES, VIDEO GAMES, and COMICS. Combine the knowledge of muscles and bones, from animals (real & fantasy), along with your imagination. At the end of camp students will have a portfolio of work to share with their family and friends.
Each day will consist of learning two different drawing techniques/ styles.
